Why Every Muslim Entrepreneur Should Practice Gratitude Daily

In this article, we are going to talk about the importance of gratitude, and why Muslims should be practicing gratitude daily to improve their lives and their business.

Gratitude is a concept that’s adopted by many, both Muslims and non-Muslims. Many people understand that gratitude is beneficial, but why is it good for us?

#1 Focus On The Positives

Firstly, gratitude allows you to focus on the positives instead of the negatives. When you are grateful and say Alhamdulillah, you are focusing on what God has blessed you with.

This allows you to focus less on what you don’t have.

As entrepreneurs, we set big goals and we’re constantly chasing after our next target. However, it’s important to always recognize the blessings that we already have in our lives, and be grateful for them and say Alhamdulillah.

#2 Gratitude Increases Blessings

Secondly, gratitude allows you to receive more blessings. This is something that God teaches us himself by telling us:

لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ

Which means:

“If you are thankful, surely I will increase you”

Quran 14:7

Gratitude is not only a way to be more positive, it’s also a way to increase the blessings in our lives. Because when we are grateful then God rewards that gratitude with more blessing.

#3 Be Happier!

Gratitude is proven to increase your happiness, and who doesn’t want to be happy?

As entrepreneurs, we tend to push ourselves to grow our business and to reach the next level.

However, remaining positive and happy throughout our business journey is important so that we can bring our best selves to every interaction.

There was a test done where they had people write down what they were grateful for every single day for 10 weeks. After 10 weeks, they were more optimistic and felt better about their lives in general, even though nothing else changed.

In fact, the Holy Quran starts with the words Alhamdulillah, which means All praise is for Allah. Every single prayer that we pray begins with Alhamdulillah as well. We can therefore see the importance of gratitude and the benefits that it has in our lives.
