The Secret To Success In Business & Life As A Muslim Entrepreneur

I want to share with you a poem I read recently by Jessie B. Rittenhouse that kept me thinking for hours…

“I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
You must bear the task

I worked for a poor man’s hire
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.”

What is the author trying to tell us through these words?

Can the secret to success be found in the few lines you have just read above?

I believe it can.

Because the secret to success can’t be found in a specific strategy, marketing technique, or business model.

The secret to success lies within you.

And it’s been there the whole time.

You see it doesn’t require more effort to aim high in life and to demand abundance and prosperity…

Than it does to simply accept misery, loss and failure.

The state of mind that demands and BELIEVES it is successful, and continually pushes forward to attain that success does not recognize failure.

It doesn’t acknowledge its existence or its effect.

If you do not first see success as a reality in your mind, you will never see it in your life.

No one is ever defeated until defeat has been ACCEPTED as a reality.

Your state of mind has to be BELIEF.

BELIEF that you CAN and WILL be successful. Not just hope or wish, but absolute belief.

With this belief, turn it into a burning obsession, and your subconscious mind will work day and night to find ways to make this belief a reality.

Answers will come to you as if by a stroke of luck or genius, as a passing thought or idea that makes you go “Aha! THAT’S what I should do!”

But if you don’t BELIEVE, and have FAITH, then you will never get those answers.

You will remain stuck, thinking “This is where I was always meant to be. I am a failure. I am stuck here. Nothing good ever happens to me.”

The Prophet SAWS tells us that Allah SWT says “I am what my servant thinks of me…”

Thoughts are powerful, and your thoughts will determine your results in life.

If the thing you wish to do is right, then you must first believe in your ability to make it a reality and do it!

If you don’t believe you can win, then you have already lost…

Because whatever you ask of Life, Life would willingly pay.
